Tree Swallows (Magee Marsh, Ohio)

These Tree Swallows were spotted in Crane Creek State Park on Saturday, May 11, 2013 from the Magee Marsh Boardwalk tower. Some of the birds populating this hot spot are just visitors fueling up for their migration north. Others are settling down to raise families. Besides feasting on the abundance of insects available in this lakeside marsh, mating is in the air. This video shows a mating pair. The male is blue and the female brownish gray.
